Marc G. Bellerose is the owner of the Groton law firm Bellerose Law Offices, P.C. After graduating from Brandeis University, Mr. Bellerose enlisted in the Air Force and was assigned to a military intelligence unit in the former Federal Republic of Germany.
Mr. Bellerose graduated in 1996 from the New England School of Law, magna cum laude, and subsequently served as a law clerk for the Justices of the Probate and Family Court for a two-year term from 1996-1998. As a law clerk, he was responsible for performing legal research on a variety of complex probate and family law matters, as well as assisting in the drafting of orders and judgments consistent with the results of such research. Upon completion of his clerkship, Mr. Bellerose worked first as a litigation associate for a high profile divorce firm in Boston handling all aspects of trial and appellate litigation.
Since leaving the city, Mr. Bellerose has continued to represent clients in a wide variety of family law and probate matters, to include divorce, child custody and visitation, child support, alimony, property division, modifications, contempt hearings, and paternity matters, as well as will contests and general estate litigation, and he has successfully acted as a mediator in family law and probate matters.
Mr. Bellerose also offers his expertise in pre-marital planning to include the drafting and negotiation of prenuptial agreements for a wide variety of clients, from those looking to protect their interest in a family business, or couples who have been previously married and who wish to protect and preserve their assets for their children.
Due his experience and expertise, Mr. Bellerose has been appointed by the courts to act as an investigator in custody and probate matters and has been appointed to act as a trustee for large estates. Mr. Bellerose is also regularly appointed by the court to act as the attorney for children in high-conflict cases through the Attorneys Representing Children (ARC) program in Middlesex County.
Cognizant of the rising costs of legal services, Mr. Bellerose has also expanded his practice to include limited representation and assistance in legal drafting for family law, probate, real estate, residential leases, and other documents, offering in-person service at prices that are competitive with the large on-line providers.
Mr. Bellerose is a member of the North Middlesex Bar Association and the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation.
